SPCG19 Investigator Meeting 2026

Investigators, study nurses and coordinators from the SPCG 19 sites across the Nordic countries met in Oslo on 17-18 September for the annual Investigator Meeting. We focused on study status, recruitment, country updates and discussions on how to support recruitment and site engagement across participating centres. Recruitment during the last 12 months has been lagging behind previous years and although almost 400 patients are randomized so far, recruitment needs to accelerate at most sites in order to complete study inclusion within the next three years. We had many constructive discussions on how to reach our recruitment goals, and the study coordinating team left the meeting with a clearer understanding of where additional support and improvements are needed.

The meeting also included updates and discussions from SPCG on future studies, and separate sessions for investigators and study staff to share experiences and practical solutions.

The investigator meeting has become a kind of family gathering with an atmosphere of trust and positive spirit which is essential for good and constructive discussions.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone again next year!
