SPCG Meeting at Lien Fjellgaard Focused on Future Studies and Platform Trials

The Scandinavian Prostate Cancer Group (SPCG) recently held a workshop meeting at Lien Fjellgaard in Telemark, Norway, bringing together researchers and clinicians from across the Nordic countries. The meeting focused on the future of prostate cancer research, including discussions on platform trials, regional collaboration, and protocol development for upcoming studies.

Participants reviewed the group’s past achievements and explored how emerging trial designs—such as adaptive platform trials—could be used to strengthen future research. A key part of the program was outlining the structure for a potential Nordic platform trial and identifying opportunities unique to the region, such as the use of national cancer registries and long-term follow-up.

The meeting concluded with a strong sense of shared purpose and a commitment to advancing innovative, collaborative research efforts in prostate cancer across the Nordic countries. We would like to thank Astellas for generously supporting and organizing the SPCG meeting at Lien Fjellgaard.
